All that I am and believe in is because of my father. He was a great teacher and understood that with Perseverance and Love we can win all the battles.

Hola to all SLA,

Her I go, I little about me,

I was born and raised in Spain, but I have spent lots of time traveling around the world. Besides Spain, I lived in Venezuela, Japan, and now in USA. I came to America to learn English and looking for new opportunities. I started at a Community college where I obtain an associates degree in Marketing. Later, I went to Penn State to study Business Administration and graduate in 2002. To pay my studies, I had worked in restaurants as a manager, human resources, and food services. Although, I enjoy the business world, teaching was always my passion. I started teaching as a part time in public and private schools in Philadelphia, PA. I taught Spanish after school programs as tutor. Also, I had the opportunity to teach for more than three years, at the St. Joseph University in Philadelphia, PA.

I moved to Florida in 2010 and started substituting for Sarasota County while I was doing my Masters in Spanish literature and Culture. Then, a year ago someone introduce me to SLA, and here I am!

I can’t thank you enough all for the opportunity and the trust in teaching your kids.

I teach two courses at Student Leadership Academy: from August to December I teach Computer Application Business 1, and Spanish 1 for a High School Credit. On January through May, I continued with the High School credit, and also I start Exploratory Spanish for those who would like to know about our language and culture.

I enjoy having my two worlds open, Business and Spanish. Teaching business gives me the opportunity to introduce great tools such as Word or Powerpoint for student’s future careers. Also, I like to teach Spanish to inspire and motivate students to learn a language that opens the door to twenty cultures.

I can’t wait to meet all the students and start a great year!
